The Dropbox trip was the last trip for the seniors in Web Design this year. When I heard we were going to the company Dropbox I was very happy since is something that I find myself using in my daily basics for Web Design.  Dropbox is a file hosting service operated by American company Dropbox, Inc., headquartered in San Francisco, California, that offers cloud storage, file synchronization, personal cloud, and client software. The company that we when to obviously was located in New York and it was a life-changing experience getting to know the people that work there. There were 4 guest speakers in the room and they were all telling us about their experience at Dropbox and how they got there. My favorite guest speaker was the girl whose name I don't remember from the UK because she was the one to most struggle to get to Dropbox since she wasn't born in the US or speaks English fluently. The CTE talk consisted of speakers coming into our class speaking about their life experiences and how they got to where they needed to be. They explained a lot about their life and what were some of their struggles or accomplishments. What type of school they when too and what career path they chose at first. Whether or not they ever left like giving up or not and more into depth about how they got to where they are and how they found themselves.  I really liked the CTE talk because it was a very interactive thing where to get to ask someone that already has their life set up and hot to get there. I asked a lot of questions and I was happy with my response. The CTE Career Fair is something that happens every year for the junior and senior students in the Web Design and Video Production academies.  This fair was mainly hosted for the students in the CTE academy in order for to expand our knowledge on the many careers and opportunities that are available to us. It is very important for us to attend since it could be a great chance for us to meet need people, get recommendations, or even get a paid internship. There were a lot of industry partners that were presented during the fair. What caught my eye more was the army cause they were in there uniforms and surprisingly the company called  "steven Maden" was there and they were explaining that great careers they have for students in college or even in high school. There were also a lot of colleges there like John Jay, Hunter, QCC, City Tech, and much more. How is this course is preparing you for your future employment? T his course is preparing me for my future employment be guiding and telling me what I should and shouldn't do. But telling me that I need to have the professionalism and do more than what I am asked to do. But telling me that I need to prepare myself for whatever life hits me with, as well to think critically and learn to solve problems when I encounter them. I feel like this course has helped me a lot into to learn what type of soft skills I have, I need, and I need to improve on.

  which kind of job applicant do you want to be? Why? I feel like I wouldn't like to be either of the two applicants that when to the job interview. I don't like comparing myself and I don't think I'll ever be. For the first applicant, I feel like it was a great example of what you don't want to do in an interview. She was saying non-sense and not taking things seriously. The second interview was too serious and it didn't have much energy but it was right at the point of how an interview should be. In an interview, I feel like I would like to be myself and portrait the best on me in any way I can and do my best to show my great qualities.

How are you Networking now? How do you know you are networking with the right people? Networking is not simply an information exchange between you and another person. It involves establishing relationships with people who will often become your friends and community of colleagues as you go through your career. They may be able to help you advance your career in many ways, just as you may be able to help them advance theirs.  In any industry or career, level networking helps you make connections in a personal way and build  relationships of support and respect to discover and create mutual benefits.  How I am Networking now is by trying to find a job and submitting my resume in many different places in order to be able to get hired. Why is it important to communicate your ideas clearly verbally or in written form? It is very important to communicate your ideas clearly verbally or in written form in our to be very successful.  Communication is simply the act of transferring information from one place to another. It may be vocally (using voice), written (using printed or digital media). The ability to communicate information accurately, clearly and as intended, is a vital life skill and something that should not be overlooked. Communication is key to your success—in relationships, in the workplace, as a citizen of your country, and across your lifetime.  Having great communication skills is great when trying to express your thoughts or opinions to others. Whether you are at school or at work good communications skills are needed. In both oral and written situations, you will benefit from having the ability to communicate clearly. Why are Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking valued skills as Web Designers? Being a Web designer takes a lot of  Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking valued skills. You will learn that you need to watch your time wisely, never leave anything for the last minute, and always have a lot of patience. Because we are web designers we need to always take our time with code. It's just something you can't rush out because a tiny mistake of a misspelling can ruin the code. However being a web designer gives you a lot of skills that you can gain. Critical thinking helps you solve problems that you’ve stuck on and also help you with finding new ways to be more efficient in your coding and decrease the amount of total code you’ll have to write. And this is one skill that you need to posse in order to be successful in anything that you do or is trying to accomplish. 

How can you show professionalism in school? Professionalism is clearly needed in everything that you do, including school, work, or even in family situations. Professionalism is when you do a good job and do more than what is expected of you. How you can show professionalism in school is by doing your job as a student and focus on your education. This means that you have to arrive on time (to school and your periods), do any assignment or homework on time too, ask questions to show your participation in class and that you are understanding the material. As well as  not irritate the class with undesirable talking, speaking without being called or talking to your peers while the teacher is talking. You need to always be ahead of time. Never leave any work for the last minute cause everything has a deadline and requires the best from you. The CTE Expo is a yearly event that I've been part of in my three years of being in Web Design. This year was my last year doing and it has been the best one so far. I got the chance for the last time to talk to freshman students about the great opportunity in joining the Web Design Academy. At first, I was a little shy, but that's just me in every event when I have to explain individuals my work and the work of my other peers but then I started to loosen up and to my surprise, I got to talk to great female students that were interesting in joining. They asked me a lot of personal questions about my own experience in the web design academy and I felt like I connected with a lot of them. As my last year doing this event I felt the need to contribute more of myself and recruit more girls to be interested in coding. Lab 43 was the 30th video to the whole Javascript30 series and what I have to do for this one was to create a website that would serve the purpose of playing a game. What I basically did was follow the video and did a game of "Whack-A-Mole" and just changed the avatar. My game was called "Whack-A-Poop" and I added a Poop emoji. This has had to be one of my favorite labs yet and I love that I got a chance to created a game. Overall, this lab was fair and gave us enough practice. I learned a lot of the javaScript30 series video and it made my knowledge of  Html, CSS, JavaScript, And jQuery expand a little more. I had a lot of fun creating this lab even though I encounter some problems, I manage to fix them and learn from my mistakes. I hope I get to do this types of labs more often because they are really fun to make.

Lab 42 was the 29th video to the whole Javascript30 series and we have to create a site that included a timer that we would have to set depending on the seconds, like either 10, 20, 25 seconds and the timer would start. My favorite about this lab was able to customize it the way I wanted and getting it to work because at first I was confused by the video and then I had something broken in my JavaScript that It was hard for the timer to work. This was a  fun and interesting lab to do because is very interactive and it depends on the user to set off or on the timer. Overall, this lab was fair and gave us enough practice. I learned a lot of the javaScript30 series video and it made my knowledge of  Html, CSS, JavaScript, And jQuery expand a little more. I had a lot of fun creating this lab even though I encounter some problems, I manage to fix them and learn from my mistakes. I hope to do this type of lab again in the future and make it better.

Lab 41 was the 28th video to the whole Javascript30 series was about Javascript allowing us to create a site that would include a video that had a button where you can drag up to speed up the video or drag it down to make the length of the video slower. I didn't quite understand the point of this lab. I had quick some issues doing it but I manage thanks to the help of my peers. However, I was surprised because my video got to work somehow. My favorite was being able to add a gradient and mix two colors that would got from one to another. Overall, this lab was fair and gave us enough practice. I learned a lot of the javaScript30 series video and it made my knowledge of  Html, CSS, JavaScript, And jQuery expand a little more. I had a lot of fun creating this lab even though I encounter some problems, I manage to fix them and learn from my mistakes. I hope to never do this type of lab again and move on.

In lab 40 what I had to do was first watch the 27th video to the whole Javascript30 series and then create a website that would include of a transparent box and inside the box, you have some of paper-accordion. However What I did was basically change the background color to two of my favorite colors, red and blue. I then added a thing that moves which looks very interesting on how it scrolls. to the side. In other words, if you can drag until it reached the end. Overall, this lab was fair and gave us enough practice. I learned a lot of the javaScript30 series video and it made my knowledge of  Html, CSS, JavaScript, And jQuery expand a little more. I had a lot of fun creating this lab even though I encounter some problems, I manage to fix them and learn from my mistakes. But the good thing is the I improve my basic knowledge of JavaScript and CSS.

Lab 39 was the 26th video to the whole Javascript30 series and what I have to do for this one was to create a website that would have three different words highlighted. And when you put the mouse over, it hovers over the words, and a tab of information or a table would pop up at the same time. In one tap I wrote about me and in the other two, I left it that way how in the video it was. I didn't have a lot of time to finish this type of lab but I learned to at least create it. Overall, this lab was fair and gave us enough practice. I learned a lot of the javaScript30 series video and it made my knowledge of  Html, CSS, JavaScript, And jQuery expand a little more. I had a lot of fun creating this lab even though I encounter some problems, I manage to fix them and learn from my mistakes. I hope to never do this type of lab again and move on. But the main thing is that I learned something new about Javascript.

 Lab 38 was the 25th video to the whole Javascript30 series and what I have to do for this one was to create a website that would have three different divs on top of each other, and when clicked upon separately, it would change things in the console. I was once again lost in the making of this lab because like I said before I'm not a big fan of working with the console. However, I tried my best to complete this lab and I think that is all the matters. The one thing I did like doing is creating the button is customizing the way the shapes looked by changing their color. Overall, this lab was fair and gave us enough practice. Lab 37, was about Javascript allowed the site to be interactive when you scrolled down to the navigation bar would follow and the first part of the bar would get bigger in font. I enjoyed making this lab because it gave an opportunity to write about Jill Freedman which is a Famous street photographer that I like very much. I also added some of the pictures like I liked from her next to the pictures I took trying to imitate her work. This can definitely be useful for my future work, like my portfolio by example. Overall, this lab was fair and gave us enough practice. I learned a lot of the javaScript30 series video and it made my knowledge of  Html, CSS, JavaScript, And jQuery expand a little more. I had a lot of fun creating this lab even though I encounter some problems, I manage to fix them and learn from my mistakes. But the main thing is that I learned something new about Javascript.

For this Lab #36, what I had to do was watch the 23th video of the javascript30 series and what this lab was supposed to do is that whatever you type in "The Voiceinator 5000",  whatever you typed inside it, and then press the speak button, the coding will allow a voice to speak what you have typed in the box. Then whatever you type in the box it says in a high fast or slow voice it's really funny. There is also another button where you can press stop to stop the voice from talking anymore. In my opinion, I had a lot of fun doing this lab but the video could of have been better. Overall, this lab was fair and gave us enough practice. I learned a lot of the javaScript30 series video and it made my knowledge of  Html, CSS, JavaScript, And jQuery expand a little more. I had a lot of fun creating this lab even though I encounter some problems, I manage to fix them and learn from my mistakes. Overall  I learned something new about Javascript.

In this lab what I had to do was watch the 22nd video of the javascript30 series. What I did in this lab was write a story about my sister and me. As some words were highlighted over them. Lab 35 was an interesting lab because I had to do a follow along navigation where I have certain highlighted words that will glow when hovered over it and it will take you to a website of that specific word. However, I didn't add no specific website to the words that I highlighted.  I did not find anything hard about this lab it was simple. The writing was the hard part of it cause I didn't know what to write about but the story about me and my sister was something that helped me a lot.
